I do want to do 4 more "fur baby" blessings.
Paka,
Tavish, Sadie and Indy . . . but not sure how to draw them out yet . . .
Pak was a Shepard/Collie,
Tavish was a Schnauzer/traveling salesman, Sadie was our black and tan
Coonhound who had to run an now Indy, our
Shakiter (Shepherd/Akita and Terrier). If I can't design something to make each of them perfect, Joy will stand in for all of them.
When I do my "Denise" Blessings Sampler, They shall definitely be front and center.
You know what I might do . . a blessings sampler, per your version, for all of the "fur babies" who have given me unconditional love. Man, just thinking about this makes the tears flow.
I have been wondering lately if:
- menopause has boomeranged back and bit me in the butt
- I am homesick for Indiana
- my meds are funkin' out again
I HATE getting teary-eyed so often and not being able to pin-point the actual cause. I know what made me tear this time. I was remembering a dog who adopted
Paka and me in
Brownsburg, Mechanic, who I had to leave one weekend when we came home. He never came back to visit us again. I felt so horrible leaving him, but he had a home and I didn't think I could h ave afforded him. Plus, he was a free spirit and needed to roam.
Man, that's making me tear again . . . but I know I did the right thing, I just feel bad in retrospect.

This has got me to thinking about my fur babies. And even though I had 3 dogs as a kid, Bridget is my favorite over all. I guess maybe because she is the only "inside" dog we have had. I have actually gotten to know her - I almost said as a person.
You are blessed to be able to have such memories of your pets.
I hope you can figure out a way to chart them - I would love to see them. Maybe you can post pictures of them too.
Smiles - Denise
