Block #27
Teachers who made an impact!
These teachers were
a blessing
academically, professionally
and
personally.
All of them
became a part of who I was
as a student.
But, more important,
I took a little bit of each of them
into my classroom
as a teacher.
I could never repay them,
I just hope,
in the
deepest parts of my heart
that I affected a
"one day teacher"
the same way they affected me.
So,
I add them
to my Blessings Sampler
with books for knowledge
and a lit candle
because they
"lit my way"
in more ways than they will ever know.
Dear Lord,
I have been truly blessed in my life to be around educators who were positive influences both inside of the classroom and out. But these four people will forever hold an honored place in my heart. Not only for the knowledge they imparted on me academically, but the discipline tactics that they used. They showed me how to discipline in a way that no others could. They showed me how to make students want to do their best and achieve to their own highest level.
So, Dear Lord, thank you for allowing me to experience Beda Williams in 1st grade, Sue Stanley in 3rd Grade, Jim Hipsher in 5th and 6th grade and John Marocco in 9th grade Biology.
Amen

That's an absolutely lovely post and block! I remember many teachers who were such inspirations for me, although I never did get to become one.
