* * * You Didn't Cook * * *
Why didn't she cook?
I'll bet
you thought
you thought
one of those questions
when you saw Block #32.
Neither one
is answered.
This block
is for the blessing
'of having a dad
with a warped
sense of humor.
From the time I can remember,
Dad always said to me,
"We need to send you back.
You Didn't Cook Long Enough."
That was always
the phrase that came out
when I was being either
silly
or
goofy.
"You Didn't Cook Long Enough."
Dear Lord,
Thank you for this blessing of a father who made me laugh. He didn't say much, but he sure came up with some goodies.
Whether you let me cook long enough or not . . . you let Dr. Hillis remove me from the "oven" into a family that made growing up warm, safe and special. Thank you so much for this. I know some aren't blessed with this luck, like I was.
Amen.

You didn't cook long enough! LOL
Your dad must have a great one! So lucky!
So does that mean you're half baked? ;0)

you do very beautiful work! Thank God for Daddy's with a sense of humor!
:^D Wish I'd though of that one. Your dad sounds like he was fun. That sure beats "Children should be seen, not heard," which my dad often said. (Though now that I've been a parent, I really do understand why he said it!)

Paula - sounds like you were cooked to perfection. I had a quiet dad, too... maybe it was the times. Dads are much more involved these days. Great square! ~Donna
Hi Paula! I am so busy lately, and am so behind keeping up with everybody, but I just wanted to say how CUTE your little stove is! LOVE IT, and the sentiment behind it!.. LOVE your sun too! He looks great with those sunglasses!.. Hope you enjoyed your weekend, and wishing you a great week ahead! ~tina
