Block 52

I see the moon,
and the moon sees me.
God Bless the moon
and God Bless me.

From the earliest years
one looks up,
into the night skies,
and marvels
at what one sees.

In what can be the
scariest part of the day,
there is the moon
and stars,
shining down
to lighten up
the
evening sky.

Things always seem worse
at night.
Monsters only come out
from under the bed
at night.

But the moon and stars
can be counted on
to brighten up the sky
and relax me.

Even though I have been in
thousands of science classes,
most as a teacher
bit some as a student,
I am STILL amazed
at how they just hang
up in the sky.

Sometims I think
we all live inside
a diorama that God made.
Planets and stars,
all hanging peacefully
from strings inside a shoe box,
until someone "rookie" angel
comes by
and bumps us.
I know
that's what causes
Earthquakes.
Dear Lord,
Thank you for giving me stars that twinkle, the Big and Little Dippers to search for and a moon to keep them all company.
What fun it is to watch the moon go through it's phases. How exciting it is to drive down Market Street, in the fall, and have a GIANT, orange "Man In The Moon" smiling down at me!

You have taken the fear out of the darkest nights by placing these points of light in the sky.

Amen
