Block 57

Scissors,
needles,
hooks,
yarn
and
thread. . .
Sweet Music
to my ears.

Needle Arts . . .
a true blessing for me.
They let
the creative juices
flow.
Sometimes through
another designers work.
Sometimes my own designs.

It could be
with hook and yarn
or
material,
thread
and needle.
Switching back and forth.
Never knowing
which to do.
Wanting to do both
but without 4 hands,
that's impossible.

 With hands
busily working away
I am at peace
with myself
and the world.

Dear Lord,
Such simple arts . . . taking simple threads and yarns and turning them into something unique and beautiful.

I have always wondered:
  1. How You first taught our ancestors to pick up bone and stringy animal parts and use them to sew things together? and
  2. How did You ever think up something like crochet?

You honestly amaze me at times. Even though I know you are all knowing and created everything I would like to know how you came up with your ideas. Maybe, one day, we shall meet and you can explain these thing to me.

Amen
