Crochet Organization Day

I have not touched my thread, material and needle for a few days. I am in two Traveling Scarf swaps and a Swap Coordinator in Ravelry. I have spent the last couple of days getting  my scarf ready to go, sent it out and completed my sections on the scarf that came yesterday.

I have been stuck on what to use to show my blessing for my BESTEST FRIEND Diane. It has really had me buffaloed. Then, I received a cross stitch book I got on eBay. I looked through it and came across two of the PERFECT designs for Diane. SO, I think tomorrow will be her day . . . I love what I found . . .  it is so perfect . . . it will be two memories we share . . .  combining two blocks into one thought.

Thinking Day #2

As the title says . . today is Thinking Day. I know what I want to do . . but not sure on the order of my thoughts.

  1. DONE . . . Coke . . not chronological but he needs to go by Joy
  2. school . . in general
  3. DONE . . .band
  4. DONE . . .Diane
  5. DONE . . .*Jackie Bleu* forgot . .can't believe I did . . but I did
  6. DONE . . . Joyce
  7. DONE . . . Clay/Kristi
  8. DONE . . .teachers who influenced me and my teaching style; Beda Williams, Sue Stanley, John Marocco and Jim Hipsher
  9. DONE . .. .choir
  10. Hi-Tri president . . confidence booster
  11. crochet . . ripple blanket maybe?
  12. VFW Scholarship
  13. Ball State
  14. primary class practicum
  15. Ron Nazerine's class
  16. BCSC
  17. 1973-74 classroom
  18. Jane
  19. Kathy
  20. Ann
  21. McKeever
  22. * Volpatti . . I forgot him the 1st time
  23. Math
  24. Science
Now for some "figurin" . . .  24 - 6 = 18 from the list still to complete. I've finished 25, I believe . . . so 25 + 18 = 43 from the top of my head.

I'm still trying to figure out if these are blessings or curses:
  1. grilled tenderloins
  2. sugar cream pie
  3. potatos
  4. dry spaghetti
  5. Dad's meatballs
  6. Dad's fried catfish
  7. tapioca . . . both hot and cold
These are all foods I learned to love as a child and every time I eat them, or need food for comfort, these are the 1st to come to mind. I am pretty sure they are blessing. If not, why would they have such an important place in my heart?

Dear Lord,
Thank you for providing me with nourishment for the body and the soul. Both provide comfort when the days are the darkest.
AMEN

Thinking Day #1

As the title says . . today is Thinking Day. I know what I want to do . . but not sure on the order of my thoughts. I have been going in a semi~chronological order and I think that is how I want to continue. So, it looks like the next few blessings should be:
  1. Coke . . not chronological but he needs to go by Joy
  2. school . . in general
  3. band
  4. Diane
  5. *Jackie Bleu* forgot . .can't believe I did . . but I did
  6. Joyce
  7. Clay/Kristi
  8. teachers who influenced me
  9. choir
  10. Hi-Tri president . . confidence booster
  11. crochet . . ripple blanket maybe?
  12. VFW Scholarship
  13. Ball State
  14. primary class practicum
  15. Ron Nazerine's class
  16. BCSC
  17. 1973-74 classroom
  18. Jane
  19. Kathy
  20. Ann
  21. McKeever
  22. Math
  23. Science
I know I will think of more as I make something . . but this will be my "look back" list so I DON"T forget these important ones.

Dear Lord,
know I have more than 22 blessings from my early adult years . . but isn't it amazing that I can only come up with this list. Now, I am curious what thoughts you will put in my mind while I am doing these to remember those other blessings I am missing.

Oh, Lord . . thanks for letting me remember one big one I just forgot . . . I can't believe I missed it.

Amen.
