Block 28

Block 28
we went to the grocery store today
and bought
one of my
ALL TIME FAVORITE FOODS
Tapioca.

I can eat
tapioca warm,
right out of the pan,
or cold,
after it has sat up in the fridge.

There have been
MANY TIMES
when I had to make it twice.
I ate almost all of it warm'
and needed it for a dessert later.

If you are like me
and want a quick
Tapioca
(or as I called it when I was Young,
Donny Yokum . .
who was a kid in the neighborhood)
try Kozy Shack
found with the dairy section
close to the Cool Whip.

Promises from you.
you won't be disappointed.

Dear Lord,
Thank you for comfort foods . . . where would we be without them. I have lots, but I have to make Tapioca 1st . . .I can remember it from my earliest days of remembering.

Also, Dear Lord, thank you for arranging the trip to see the "Bridge Over The River Kwai" bridge when Chooch and I visited Thailand.  I think, in Your mysterious way, you did that so I could see the actual plant where tapioca comes from as we were riding in the train to see the bridge.

Your mysterious ways work wonders, don't they? Do you ever find yourself just sitting back and smiling at the magic you create? You should, because You are truly an awesome being.

Amen.

Actual tracks our train ran on.
The River Kwai
(pronounced Kwah in Thai)
is on the left side.

Notice how close the
rock outcroppings are to the track.
I had my head out the window just pre-rocks . . .
decapitation was not in my vacation plan.
Original Bridge
built by POW'S captured by the Japanese,
after being bombed by the allies.

Rebuilt Bridge
This is the bridge we visited.
