Social Studies, Science and Math . . .
the classes I loved teaching.
In Math,
my love was for
the remedial student
who cared to improve
their skills
In Science,
anything in the
Life Science area
was a go.
Social Studies,
my minor in college . . .
Not history or geography . . .
SOCIAL STUDIES!
How did people get to be
where they are?
Why are people
like they are?
Why do people
live where they live?
What similarities
do different
cultures share?
How does one
read a map?
So,
the Globe is Social Studies
Pi R Square means Math
(in honor of Janet Holcomb)
and
HO to the third is Science.
(That's HO, HO, HO,
for my non-science friends.)
Dear Lord,
Thank You for allowing me to be in a classroom 34 years and teaching subjects I liked in the 28 years in the Middle School level.
You blessed my life with thousands of children that I would have never met.
You have also pleased me by allowing students to find me on Facebook . . . and find out what these "adults" actually learned from me . . . "I Done Good!"
Amen
