This was to be Block 69.
However,
I graduated from high school
in 1969,
so I switched block numbers.
Therefore,
this is now Block 39.
Snowmen.
One of the few creatures
that will smile at you
for their entire life.
When the sun hits them,
and the temperature is cold enough,
they will glisten in all kinds of pastels.
We won't talk about
what happens
when the weather is to warm :o{
We used snowmen as
the main decorations'
at our Dec. 23 wedding.
Didn't want too do Christmas,
to normal.
So we did the colors of snow . .
pastels with lots of snowmen.
Invitations had a snow couple.
Every place setting had
a booklet with reception info
that copied the invitation.
Also,
we made Crayon Clay
snowmen for each place setting.
We had Snowmen
EVERYWHERE!
Chris's display to greet people when they entered reception.
Grooms Cake |
Snowman on Ice Cream table . We had vanilla ice cream made into balls (snowballs) and served them with hot fudge, peanut pieces and maraschino cherries, |
If we didn't have Snowmen
we had Snowflakes
Bride and Grooms' table . . .notice the Snowflake Table Cloth? |
Snowflakes on top of wedding cakes. |
Crocheted Snowflakes adorning doorway behind the Snowman Trio that greeted people. |
Dear Lord,
Thank you for snowmen. So bright, happy and cheerful. How can anyone be sad when they see their faces . . big, charcoal grins. Every time I see one I think of our wedding day and what a blessing it was.
Amen.
