Block 56

Why are there so many songs about rainbows
And what's on the other side?
Rainbows are visions, but only illusions,
And rainbows have nothing to hide.
So we've been told and some choose to believe it
I know they're wrong, wait and see.
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection,
The lovers, the dreamers and me.

Normally,
when on sees these words
they hear
Kermit the Frog
singing the song.

Myself,
I always hear
Paul Williams,
the man who wrote
the words.

I was pleasantly surprised
when I found his version online.

This has always
tugged at my heart strings.
Rainbows are visions, but only illusions,
And rainbows have nothing to hide.

There have been many times in my life
when I had to live my
 life in an illusion.
I wasn't happy where I was
yet I  knew the situation
would change.
It was just a matter
of where and when.

I knew that
Someday I'll find it,
the rainbow connection,
and I finally did.
And,
it is figuratively true,
there was a pot of gold
at the end.

Dear Lord,
Thank you for hanging in there with me all those years. I knew You had a plan for me but I was beginning to worry what it was, or what it had been. Thank you for bringing me my pot of gold at my rainbow's end.

Amen
