Neighbors,
another blessing
I can't believe
I didn't
think about sooner.
I was sitting here
this morning and was
thinking about
the neighbors we had
before we moved.
Then it dawned on me
how blessed I have been
all my life
with great neighbors.
Then I started to wonder
how many I could still name.
This may get long . . .
so I shall add their names
in a smaller font.
GROWING UP

Mrs. Larrison

Mary and Cliff McClaeb
Fonda Ballard
Mary Alice and Dan Ballard

WOW!
That was a trip
down memory lane.
It's hard to believe
that I have forgotten
so many off the names
of the people I lived by
in Brownsburg.
It might have
something to do with
living in apartments.
I didn't have a yard
to go out into
like I have
everywhere
else.
All of the neighbors
I have had
have been
an integral part
of my life.
The memories of them
are a giant
patchwork
of caring.
when I think of them,
I get a feeling
of peace and comfort.
My 1st memory
of a neighbor
is sitting on the
front porch
and seeing Bert Packard
coming home from work
and saying, "Hi Bert!"
And it is strange,
Bert died
when I was quite young
but that memory is so clear.
Now,
I am 5th oldest
of the neighbors
in my neighborhood.
so I am the
Mary and Mrs. Larrison
to Cassie, Mason, Olivia
and one day Aiden.
I wonder if
Aiden will one day
come over and enjoy
sitting on my swing
as much as I enjoyed
sitting with
Mary and Mrs. Larrison
on theirs.
What a wonderful
life.
Having neighbors
who "neighbored."

Dear Lord,
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for allowing me to live by the best neighbors my entire life. At every step along the way I had people who would look out for me, as I would look out for them.
It is so nice to know that in a world where you hear about so many people who have been ignored in times of need, I have always had neighbors cared and would keep an eye out for me..
Amen

Small towns - my neighbors - my grandparents, an aunt and uncle, our best man in our wedding, and Becky, and now my parents. That's all I have really ever had.
But, good neighbors are so much better than feuding ones.
Smiles - Denise
