Television !
There,
it is out in the open.
I, Paula Sue Gaumer Tooke
am a TV junkie!
Well,
maybe not a TV junkie
but I do enjoy TV
and I have it on
from the time I wake up
until the time I go to bed.
While I have it on
I am always doing something
with my hands . . .
Down deep inside,
I think I have it on
for the background noise
it provides.
If you would ask me
after a show is on'
what it was about,
I probably couldn't tell you.
But,
there are some memorable
shows that I will never forget.
The main one
is the title on the TV
I made . . .
Chuckles Bites the Dust.
Now,
I am not sure
if that is the complete title.
But,
it is enough
for me to find it on YouTube
and watch it when I need
a good laugh.
Of course,
as I seem to do
in most postings,
I shall look and see if I can find it.
It was from a
Mary Tyler Moore show.
The premise:
Chuckles the Clown is serving as the Grand Marshall of a Parade in Minneapolis.
He is dressed as a Peter Peanut.
A Rogue Elephant things he is real and crushes him to death.
Now,
don't ask me why I think this is funny.
It has to be my warped
sense of humor.
But I will laugh so hard
that I cry
and can hardly catch my breath.
Poor Chuckles :0{

Dear Lord,
Thank you for the companionship of Television. Also, thank you for not having a mother who used it as a babysitter. I have, to be honest, actually learned a lot from TV . . and I mean educationally. But, I have also learned more about myself than anything else.
Thank you for allowing me to be able to watch something on TV that makes me laugh when I don't think I will ever laugh again. And thank you for allowing me to cry my eyes out when I need to , but my normal world won't allow me to.
Oh,. I forgot. Thank you for having Kevin O'Connell include Indiana on his weather forecast maps so I can keep up with the weather at home.
Oh, one more thing, Lord. Would you please have someone put the video of this show back up on YouTube so the world can enjoy it as much as I have . . and so that I can enjoy it again?

Paula - I never thought about TV as a blessing. But, Oh boy, how right you are! There have been some pretty iconic times play out before us -- I'm thinking the Challenger, 9/11, Kennedy and Reagan being shot, oh, and can't forget about JR Ewing.

Love your blessing block...hehe...TV certainly has changed the world!
