Block 61

Humor. . .
subtle humor . . .
you gotta love it.

I'm sure
you are asking yourself,
"Self, why did
she use NOAH
for comedy."
This goes back
to an old Bill Cosby routine.
God is talking
to Noah about
building the Ark.
He tells Noah
everything he will
have to do.
Noah keeps complaining
about all the work.
The tag lines are:
God, "Noah?"
Noah, "Yes Lord."
God, "Can you tread water?"

I have always
found this routine
to be a hoot!

I am sure
all Christians
have always thought
that Noah was
excited, happy, pleased
or had some such feeling
when God told him
to build an Ark.

But,
I am sure,
if Noah was human
he very well might have
thought this . . .
but not for long
because God would have known.

Dear Lord,
I know you have a sense of humor. If not, why would you have made penguins waddle so funny, or have given anteaters such funny looking noses. And, yes, Lord, I know they need their noses for sticking them into places in search of ants . . . but then you gave them that long, funny tongue to reach the ants.

You gave elephants a sense of humor too. I am sure they are laughing every time they are in a water hole blowing water in the air. The little ones even look like they are blowing the water at others for fun.

Thank you for giving me the sense of humor I have. I know that sometimes it can be a sick humor or unassuming humor, but it is so much fun.
Amen

Ok, I'm getting it now. Some blessings get one square, others 2. I thought there for a few minutes I missed something.

Humor - I believe God is quiet a comedian. Why else would he want man and woman to live together in marriage and then make us soooo completely different?
